# Lights Low > A practical page for re-planning the lights a home shows after dark so it pulls fewer night-flying moths. You list up to 8 lights - outdoor lamps, or rooms seen through a window - each with its colour (warm or amber, plain white, cool or bluish white), how far it spreads (down or curtain closed, sideways or thin curtain, bare bulb or no curtain), how long it stays on (motion sensor, evenings, all night) and what it is for. The page scores each light free, picks its fix, works out the score after the fix, names the brightest pull and the verdict, and draws the house front at night with halos and moths, before and after. One metered run explains each fix and gives a first step that keeps the light doing its job. Input fields (all strings): task, place, lights (1 line per light with its place, name, colour, spread, hours, purpose and pull), facts (each light's pull, fix and after-fix pull; the verdict; the brightest pull; the totals). - Reply: JSON with verdict, summary, lights[] (item, fix, why, first_step - 1 per light, in order), still_useful, closing. ## Rule Each setting scores 1 to 3; a light's pull is colour x spread x hours (1 to 27, a rough guide, not a measurement). Pull 4 or less: keep. Otherwise the highest setting is lowered to 1 (ties: spread, then hours, then colour): spread on an outdoor light -> aim it down, on a window -> close the curtain; hours -> shorter hours; colour -> warmer bulb. Verdict, checked in order: any pull 18 or more -> beacon; any pull 8 or more -> glow; otherwise lights low. ## Safety Keep steps, paths and doors lit enough to walk safely. Switch off and let a bulb cool before touching it; wiring work is for a qualified electrician. Everyday lighting talk, not professional advice. ## Sources - Skill: @roble3/blender-lighting on SkillSafe (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@roble3/blender-lighting).
